The British Navy uses rope with one red thread in it. That thread is said to represent the Blood of Christ, with the symbology implied that should the rest of the rope fail, the one thread will hold.

Congratulations on post #100! Wow, it's gone by so fast!
I'm so grateful you started this blog , so thank you - I get home from work and I go through my routine of checking the blogs to see what has happened during the day. In order, I go to Captain's Quarters, then Pat Dollard, then Little Green Footballs, then Noblesse Oblige, then 1RedThread and then Redstate.
So, keep up the great work, Red and thank you for posting this video about the Troops. I am so proud of them. And also, very proud of you. : )
